On
Monday, August 11, 2008, I was invited to ride along with the Condor
Squadron for an evening flight. They were performing flyovers for a
charity event that benefitted returning injured soldiers. Rick led the
flight, with me for his "guy in back", or GIB. Sparky, Stu and Chris
were part of the formation for this flight. Many thanks for the
opportunity to fly again with you guys and catch some great moments.
The T-6/SNJ is a great airplane that I have enjoyed many flights in,
and this one was no exception.
The flag was still at half staff in honor of Dick Sykes, one of the founders of the Condor Squadron, who passed away on August 2.
