Condor Squadron and Van Nuys Airport
I drove
out to Van Nuys Airport on the day before Thanksgiving to meet some of
the other members and hopefully get a flight in for some air-to-air
photos. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperative for flying. The
dark clouds and skies made for some interesting contrasts. As the
evening turned into night, I had a neat opportunity to experiment with
some very low light photography. In editing the photos for this
gallery, I realized that black and white with some sepia gave a more
dramatic look. Below are results from several experiments.
