Back in 2008, I first
met Chris Kenefick and Cliff Parkhill while doing a little
flying and photography out of Santa Paula. It was a fun day.
In late October of 2012, Chris contacted me to got flying and
get some more photos. I met Chris out at Santa Paula airport
and helped him push the airplane out and run it up while we
waited for Cliff to arrive. I first flew with Cliff in his
Stearman on a flight to Santa Ynez for lunch. I flew back to
Santa Paula with Chris to photograph Cliff. The weather was
hot, but otherwise fantastic for flying. Both Stearmans were
built in 1941.

behind us.
Chris and Cliff holding the memorial flag, which has gone with
me on every flight since September 2011 to honor all of our
fallen warriors. Cliff is a veteran of the US Navy, and Chris
is currently serving in the US Navy. The flag flew in both
airplanes.
Here is some video taken
with the helmet cam of Cliff on the return flight.
