The Supermarine
Spitfire is one of iconic fighters to come out of Great
Britain. It evolved over time as needed for the missions it
performed. The Spitfire performed well in the Battle of
Britain and throughout WWII, staying in service beyond WWII,
with the RAF flying them up until 1954. This one is a Mk.XIV
with the Griffon engine flown by the CAF Southern California
Wing of the Commemorative Air Force.
