FW.190 Wurger
The FW.190 "Wurger"
was designed by Kurt Tank in the 1930s. Its first air combat
was in November of 1942 on the Eastern Front. Over 13,000
FW.190s were produced during WWII. There were multiple
versions and configurations of the FW.190 during the war. This
FW.190 is an A9 built in 1944 (according to FAA records),
carrying the markings of Weis 14 of JG300 "Wild Sau". Oscar
Bosch flew an aircraft with these markings in WWII, getting 18
kills, including 8 4-engined bombers. The FW.190 and the
Messerschmitt Bf-109 were the main fighter force of the
Luftwaffe in WWII.
