This was my fifth year at Oshkosh working with the Aero-News crew. This was my favorite year so far. The EAA number reported attendance at a staggering 640,000 people to see over 10,000 airplanes. As every year, there are things that happen that are uniquely Oshkosh. Mass formations of aircraft you won't see outside of military bases and historic aircraft and flights. For the first time in my life, I got to see TWO B-29s in the sky at the same time! Warbirds, vintage, homebuilt and airplanes from all eras were there in plentiful numbers. Below are a small sampling of the photos taken this year. I was there the whole week and know there are things I didn't catch.
