Zero/P-40 Formation
Before
the United States entered WWII, pilot of the American Volunteer Group
in China began fighting the Japanese, flying the P-40 Warhawk. The P-40
Warhawk below is P-40N from the Planes of Fame in Chino, California.
The Zero is an A6M3 Model 22 from the SoCal Wing of the Commemorative
Air Force, based at the Camarillo Airport. The former foes flew in
formation together on both days of the show.
