This is the
North American
B-25 Mitchell. Made famous by the Doolittle Tokyo Raid, the Mitchell is
the only aircraft made before or since that was named for an
individual. William "Billy" Mitchell was a very vocal advocate for air
power. He was also an innovator of air tactics. "Executive Sweet" is
owned and operated by the American Aeronautical Foundation and is based
at the Camarillo Airport.
