The
T-33 was a trainer version of America's first production jet fighter,
the P-80. It entered US service in 1950. Canada and Japan also built
the T-33 under license and both countries still use them as trainers
today. About 1,700 P-80 fighters were built, while over 7,000 T-33s
were made.
