This was the year for Grumman
aircraft at Chino. One of the formation flyovers was a Grumman fighter
family portrait. There were 5 F8F Bearcats, 3 F7F Tigercats, 2 F6F
Hellcats and one F4F Hellcat and F3F. Other Grumman aircraft included
the J2F Duck amphibious airplane and 3 TBF Avengers.
