Chino Airshow 2012
A6M Zero
There
were three A6M Zeros at the airshow this year. One of these is owned
and operated by the Planes of Fame Museum. It is an A6M5 and is the
only flying Zero that still has the original Sakae engine. The other 2
Zeros are A6M3 versions withe the Pratt and Whitney engine. One of the
A6M3 Zeros is part of the CAF Southern California Wing. The other is in
transit to an air museum in Alaska. This was a rare sight, as there are
currently only 5 known Zeros that are flying today.
