First flown
in 1937, 112 Ercoupes were
built
before the start of WWII ended production. They were used by the Civil
Air Patrol during the war for maritime reconnaissance and were even
used to test JATO rockets! More were made post-war before ERCO sold the
design. Many different companies made the Ercoupe until 1970, when
production ended.
There are 2 Ercoupes
below. The first one pictured was made by Forney in 1958. Forney called
it the F-1. The second series below features an Ercoupe 415-C, made by
Erco in 1946.
