A Day at Santa Paula Airport
Ryan Aircraft

There are a number of Ryans at Santa Paula. The ones below are actually the same model number. The white one (N47080) is an ST3KR with a Fairchild 6-410 engine. The polished aluminum one with the yellow wings (N78J) is also an ST3KR in a military configuration with a Kinner R5 five cylinder radial engine. The US Army called this the PT-22 Recruit. Both of these aircraft were manufactured in 1942.
