Socata TB-200 Tobago


The Socata TB series was designed in the 1970s. The TB stands for Tarbes, the French city where they are manufactured. Socata is part of EADS, the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company, which is a large consortium of companies that manufacture for the defense and private sector.

The TB-200 is a great aircraft for short fields with a 200 horsepower engine. They are used by many countries as basic instruction aircraft. The Tobago offers good handling at low and high speeds. This one (N3052N) was is operated by the aero club at Edwards AFB.
