I was
fortunate to be able to fly up with Susan Harrison, the wife of Rob
Harrison. We took off from Brackett Field in La Verne California on a
west, then north path, heading through the Cajon Pass, then over the
Tehachapi Mountains. We were flying in a Rockwell Commander aircraft.
It has four seats and all the modern instrumentation. The poppy
preserves are in full bloom and the colors are vibrant and noticeable,
even from 10,000 feet. I also got the chance of a lifetime to see and
photograph a B-2 Spirit bomber from above. Here are some of the shots I
took during our flight to and from Minter Field.
The photos below were
taken by Kevin Joyce. Thanks Kevin for allowing me to use them for this
page! This is one of the rare times that I am in front of the lens.
