This was my second year shooting the Gathering of Mentors at the Palm Springs Air Museum. This year, I flew down with Marc Russell and was there for the whole event. The winds were not cooperative this year and turbulence decreased the amount of flying, but there were still flights. There were 16 T-34s that showed up this year from California and Arizona. I had a great time seeing some of the folks from last year and meeting some new folks as well. Thanks to all of the pilots involved for a safe and fun event. A big thanks goes out to Cannon Aviation Insurance for the sponsorship and the army of volunteers at the Palm Springs Air Museum for the hard work and hospitality. I also want to thank Paula Alldredge for her tireless efforts getting food for our happy hours and keeping us hydrated throughout the weekend.
