This was my third year
attending the Gathering of Mentors at the Palm Springs Air Museum. The
weather was hot, but the winds were calm on Saturday and the visibility
was fantastic. Sunday was gusty, but we still managed to get some great
formations together. A big thanks goes out to Gene Ramirez and John
Hill with the museum and the army of volunteers that helped us out with
ramp space and all kinds of accomodations. Another thanks goes out to
Bob Cannon of Cannon Aviation Insurance for the sponsorship and
support. A BIG personal thanks goes out to Marc Russell for providing
not only the ride down and back, but for providing a good, stable
platform to take photographs from.
