The T-34 Assocation had
it's annual Gathering of Mentors in March this year. Hosted by the Palm
Springs Air Museum and sponsored by the Air Force Association and
Cannon Aviation Insurance, it was another great event. Fourteen
aircraft showed up. Saturday's weather was nce for flying with mild
temperatures and moderate turbulence. Despite the bumpy air, the pilots
did a fantastic job keeping in their spot in the formation. The March
ARB Flying Club had four airplanes for the first time in 7 years. It
was some great fun and flying and our hosts showed great hospitality.
The weather outlook for Sunday was not good, causing some pilots to
head home after Saturday's flights so that they could get home. Some
stayed to make one flyover on Sunday before heading home.
