The Antonov An-2 Colt is the
world's largest single engine biplane. It was designed to be able to
land on rough and unimproved airfields with great STOL (Short Takeoff
and Landing) capabilities. Over 12,000 were made and many are still in
use today. This An-2, "Big Panda", is operated by the Commemorative Air
Force's Third Pursuit Squadron based at Cable Airport in Upland
California.
