This is an F/A-18C-35 that
is part of the US Marine Corps VFA-125 "Rough Raiders" based at NAS
Lemoore. The unit provides combat readiness training to fleet
replacement pilots for both the Navy and Marine Corps. The F/A-18 has
become the primary fleet defense fighter since the retirement of the
F-14 Tomcat. One
F-18 flew a demonstration
flight to show the capabilities of the aircraft, then another F-18 flew
the US Navy Legacy Flight with a WWII era F4U Corsair.
