The
N3N was the last biplane to see military service in the United States.
It was built by the Naval Aircraft Factory, a US Navy run manufacturing
complex. It would also be the last aircraft built by the Naval Aircraft
Factory. There was a version with floats for seaplane duty and a
version like this, with standard landing gear. About 995 were made and
today about 20 are still flying in the hands of private collectors.
