This KC-135 is part of the 452nd Air Mobility Wing based at March Air Reserve base. Based on the Boeing 707 airliner, the Air Force began using the tanker version in about 1957. The last one was delivered from the factory to the Air Force in 1965! There are a number of modifications that have been done over the years to the fleet with more coming to keep them flying as an important part of the Air Force mission.
