First flown in 1937, 112 Ercoupes were
before the start of WWII ended production. They were used by the Civil
Air Patrol during the war for maritime reconnaissance and were even
used to test JATO rockets! More were made post-war before ERCO sold the
design. Many different companies made the Ercoupe until 1970, when
1945 Ercoupe 415-C (N87022) at Camarillo in May, 2006.
