Luscombe Aircraft

The Luscombe Aircraft Compnay was founded by Don Luscombe, who became interested in aircraft during WWI. In the 1920s, he built aircraft that had aluminum skins, as opposed to fabric which covered other aircraft. His idea was well received, but the first aircraft was expensive and allegedly difficult to fly. The Luscombe 8 was the second attempt and it proved successful.
