Drawings and Sketches

For years, I enjoyed sketching and drawing. I did not have much time for it in the last 15-20 years. While on vacation in August, I bought a sketchbook and some pencils on a whim and started sketching again. The results are below.


These are the Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat.




During WWII, many pilots learned to fly in the North American AT-6/SNJ Texan. Today, CAF pilots get training for taildraggers in an SNJ. The first sketch is Jim after a ride. The second shot is David in the cockpit giving Brad a briefing. The third shot is Rich in the SNJ that he owns and flies.





This is my son trying on a steel pot helmet.
