F-111F "Libya Raider" Aardvark

A few years ago, my wife found this model for me on e-bay, unopened and unassembled. I was quite excited as I was stationed at RAF Lakenheath at that time and was part of the communications support team for the raid. The model went through at least 2 moves, still in the box awaiting assembly. I volunteer at a WWII aviation museum and met a guy who has done an amazing job of cleaning up a bunch of models there. Once I saw what he could do, I realized that I could never make this model look anywhere near this quality. I asked this guy, Joe Nassi, if he would be interested in doing it up for me. Below are the results. Joe is a real artist with models! No detail was left out. Notice the distressed look of the paint where the wing folds into the fuselage. Just like the real thing!
