The Battle of Antietam


September 17, 1862 was the bloodiest day of the Civil War, with over 23,000 dead in a single day. It was a turning point in the war for the Union Army. Part of the battle of Antietam was the battle of Burnside Bridge and the Bloody Lane. These were part of this battle re-enactment.
