Civil War Encampment and Re-enactment
November 11, 2007
Cavalry and Mounted Soldiers
The
horses used by the re-enactors are rescue horses, which have been given
a second chance at life. Horses were used for cavalries all the way up
to WWI. Part of the second battle of the day, the battle of Franklin,
included a cavalry clash.
