The Battle of Franklin
The
Battle of Franklin Tennessee took place on November 30, 1864. Southern
soldiers assaulted fortified lines of the Union Army in a full frontal
assault and paid heavily for it. In 5 hours at Franklin, more
casualties to the army of Tennessee took place than 2 full days at the
Battle of Shiloh. It marked the beginning of the end for the Tennessee
Army and the Confederates.
