The Battle of Franklin


The Battle of Franklin Tennessee took place on November 30, 1864. Southern soldiers assaulted fortified lines of the Union Army in a full frontal assault and paid heavily for it. In 5 hours at Franklin, more casualties to the army of Tennessee took place than 2 full days at the Battle of Shiloh. It marked the beginning of the end for the Tennessee Army and the Confederates.
