Mounted troops and cavalry
The
cavalry and mounted forces of the army were key for speed and getting
heavy loads to the fight. The cannon and ammunition for the caoon were
large, heavy loads (typically about 2 tons). The horses used for the
re-enactments are rescued horses that have been taken in a treated
well.
