This is a 1978 Great
Lakes 2T-1A-2. The Great Lakes Aircraft Company began making
aircraft during the golden age of aviation, the 1920s. The
depression hit many companies hard, and Great Lakes was no
exception. The early Great Lakes aircraft were still favorites
with pilots many years after the factories were closed. In the
1970s, a Great Lakes factory was opened in Oklahoma and about
150 aircraft were produced.
