The Luscombe Model 8
was introduced in 1937 with a 50 horsepower Continental A-50
engine. Further variants followed, including the Model T8F
Observer that was designed for the Army for observation
duties. This aircraft is a model 8F, a high speed variant that
features an 85 horsepower Continental C-85 engine. It was
manufactured in 1948.
