DeHavilland Tiger Moth
The
DeHavilland Tiger Moth was one of the most successful trainers for
young pilots. The UK and Commonwealth nations all used Tiger Moths long
after the end of WWII for training young pilots. Inexpensive to operate
and simple ot maintain and operate, the Tiger Moth is still popular
today. Over 7,000 Tiger Moths were manufactured and approximately 250
survive today. This particular Tiger Moth was once owned by Cliff
Robertson and was used in a lot of Hollywood movies over the years.
It was once flown by Charles Lindbergh. Today, the current owner sells
rides in the airplane, touring around
the area near Cable Airport.
