F-18 Hornet
The F-18 Hornet is the
front-line fighter for the US Navy. On static display is an F-18 used
by NASA for testing of various systems.
The
second aircraft on this page is an F/A-18C-35 that is part of the US
Marine Corps VFA-125 "Rough Raiders" based at NAS Lemoore. The unit
provides combat readiness training to fleet replacement pilots for both
the Navy and Marine Corps. The F/A-18 has become the primary fleet
defense fighter since the retirement of the F-14 Tomcat.
