The
Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team started on May 25, 1953 at Luke
Air Force Base in Arizona. They first flew the F-84 Thunderjet. Today,
they fly modified F-16 Fighting Falcons. Below are some of the
manuevers and formations they fly during air show appearances
throughout the United States.
