Christen Eagle
The Christen Eagle was
developed in the 1970s by Frank Christensen for aerobatic competition,
training and general fun flying. It debuted at OshKosh in 1977. The
Eagle can be bought as a kit, which you can purchased as 30 separate
"sub-kits" that can be assembled in numeric sequence. The Eagles, an
aerobatic team of Gene Soucy, Tom Poberezny and Charlie Hillard,
switched from Pitts Specials to Christen Eagles in 1979 and flew them
for almost 20 years.
