The people

Events like these are not possible without the people. These are some of the people that volunteer their time at the CAF, or come by to see what we do.

Gloria Troy adds festive decorations to the baked goods table.

Jason Somes, owner and pilot of the T-6 "Miss Universe" giving his aircraft a quick cleanup.

Ceci Stratford and Joe Peppito, the 2 people who started the idea and organized the event.

Eric Lange, one of many CAF volunteers that help to maintain the aircraft in top condition.

Charlie Valentine checks the progress of the C-46 placement.

Fellow aviation photographer, Brian Lockett was on-hand to capture some of the action.

A couple of Brooks College photo journalism students, who happen to also be aviation buffs.

While Chris ran through the pre-flight checklist, I suddenly felt like a celebrity.

A panorama of the CAF ramp as we taxied out to fly. There was a good turnout for the event.

Jason Somes, Gary Barber and Chris Rushing having a postflight overview.

A couple of CAF Colonels work on the F8F Bearcat.

Chris Rushing, the pilot and owner of the aircraft that I flew in for the air-to-air photography.

Nothing gets the attention of children and adults like the sound of a radial engine star!
