The
third flight of the day on Saturday had eight aircraft in 2 flights.
Once formed up, Marc left the formation with me in the back seat to be
the photo ship for the formation. After a few passes, we joined back up
with the formation for the final pass, formation break and landing.
This was the shoot that I was looking forward to the most. Some of the
shots were difficult to get, but well worth the effort.
The warm-up area was pretty crowded for this flight.
Once in the sky, getting formed up is an aerial dance to see.
This is an overhead shot of the Palm Springs Air Museum, home to our hosts for the gathering.
These guys even taxi in formation!
