For the last 39 year, Jack Broome has held an airshow at his ranch for the Quiet Birdmen, which is an aviation society with membership by invitation only. Sadly, Jack Broome passed away in April of 2009, so this is most likely the end of a long run of neat gatherings. Jack was a WWII veteran, and a big friend to aviation. He was also quite a philanthropist, donating money to various causes throughout Ventura County. I can't think of a better tribute than to see this eclectic collection of aircraft fly over his ranch for one more pass.
