"You killed my brother"

During the morning skirmish, the Southern forces were getting the better of the Northern forces, causing a Northern retreat. A wounded Sergeant discovers his brother has died. The following series of photos caught a very well done re-enactment of the tragedy that hit many families of the Civil War. The realities and heartache of war are often glossed over for heroics and glory in Hollywood movies. This page is dedicated to all of the families who lost their loved ones to the horrors of war.
