I have had this
museum on my bucket list for a number of years. On Sunday, April 14, 2013, I got an
opportunity to visit this fantastic museum. Over 300
aircraft are here on 80 acres with several hangars. There
are a lot of unique and rare aircraft here. It gives a great
representation of military aviation from WWII to more modern
times. There is also a building that houses artifacts from
the space program. The docents were friendly and
knowledgeable. If the opportunity arises to visit this
museum, I highly recommend it. Go early and plan to spend
the whole day there. They have a cafteria on site, so you
can look out at the aircraft while enjoying your lunch. We
spent the whole day there exploring the aircraft and
exhibits in the halls.
